Machine Introduction
A water cooling tower is usually composed of tower body, packing, fan, sump and other parts. Hot water sprays down from the top of the tower and flows through the surface of the packing to form a water film, increasing the contact area with air. The fan sucks in air from the bottom of the tower and flows upward through the packing to exchange heat with water and take away the heat in the water. The cooled water is collected in the sump and then sent back to the system that needs cooling.
Working Principle:
Cooling towers operate on the principle of evaporative cooling. Warm water from the system enters the cooling tower and is distributed over a large surface area.
Air is drawn through the tower, either by natural convection or mechanical means (fans), causing a portion of the water to evaporate.
The evaporation process absorbs heat, cooling the remaining water, which is then collected and recirculated back into the system.
